The Municipality of Bluewater has evolved from the amalgamation in 2001 of the former Villages of Bayfield, Hensall and Zurich and the Townships of Hay and Stanley. It is a community of 6700 people, located in western Huron County and represents one of nine municipalities within the country structure.
