This 26km circle tour starts and ends at Jordan House B&B. Proceed west along Eighth Line to North Buxton, turning left (south) on the A.D. Shadd Road. First stop, Buxton National Historic Site. Continue south along A.D. Shadd Road to Wind Turbine Development. Turn east on Talbot Trail, stop at Pardo Villa Acres for fresh produce. Next is Smith & Wilson Estate Wines. Turning back west on Talbot Trail and north on Bloomfield Road, your last stop is Deer Run Golf Course.

The trail starts at Windsor, Ontario right across from Detroit. It then follows Lake Erie, at some places so close that you can actually see the shore, all the way to Niagra Falls. The present road follows the path of the first road built by Colonel Talbot. The Talbot Trail was completed by the end of 1820's and this corduroy road stretched nearly three hundred miles.

Route Three Villages

The three villages route is a 40 kilometre return trip along Winter Line road in the former Dover Township. It starts at the Grand River Line Road (Round the River Route) and proceeds northward through two French Canadian villages (Pain Court & Grande Pointe) towards the summer village of Mitchell’s Bay. At Mitchell’s Bay Line, proceed west to Lake St. Clair. This is 2 to 4 hour trip for the average touring cyclist.
Winter Line Road is a paved low traffic secondary road. Variety stores and restaurant / public taverns are found in all three villages. Accommodation is available at Mitchell’s Bay.

The eight-kilometre Lynn Valley rail-trail offers splendid opportunities to view unique Carolinian plant life. The new Waterford Heritage Trail is a six-kilometre trail from Thompson Road at the edge of Waterford south to Townsend Concession 13, where it joins with the Sunrise Rotary Trail to Simcoe and on to Port Dover via the Lynn Valley Trail. The Waterford Heritage Trail features picturesque scenery and is ideal for walking, cycling, running and (in winter) cross country skiing.
Sydenham East to Uncle Tom's Cabin

Starting in Wallaceburg's beautiful riverside downtown district, you head east along the south shore of the lazy Sydenham River all the way to Uncle Tom's Cabin Site located on the former Dawn Settlement where emigrating former slaves found refuge 150 years ago with the help of Josiah Henson. Go into Dresden as your turnaround point and head back to the Glasstown on the north side of the river.
