While not a large commercial centre, the Township of Mapleton is a strong, growing and vibrant community made up of a rich and diverse cultural background. We offer the distinct characteristics enjoyed by rural living and are proud of our heritage.
Many features give Mapleton its distinctive charm, such as the Old Order Mennonites traveling by horse and buggy and the century old buildings located throughout the Township.
These cultural features combine to create a living environment which is attractive to old and new residents alike. Numerous cultural and recreational events are organized annually, such as the Fritters and Folk Festival organized each year by the Mennonite Community Church in Drayton.
One of Canada's leading summer theatres is located in Drayton at the beautifully restored Town Hall and was created through hard work and dedication of the area residents.
